The former Real Madrid star is moving to a new address very soon

Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United in the middle of the World Cup. The winger also made history by managing Portugal without a club.

According to Spanish media “Marca”, “Daily Mail” reported that Ronaldo received a record bid of £173M per year from the Al-Nasr club in Saudi Arabia. Al-Nasr is ready to repay this amount every year. Because of Europe, no football club in the world has made such a big financial offer. Once the contract is signed, Ronaldo will become the world’s highest-paid footballer.

In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan ahead of the World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo made explosive charges against Manchester United and the club’s coach, Eric Ten Haag. He said they tried to kick him out of the club. The 37-year-old winger left the WC contract through a compromise after a storm of criticism in world football.

After leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo was not interested in playing for any major European club or team. As soon as the news broke, Al-Nasr Pillay of Saudi Arabia made him a surprise offer. Ronaldo also agreed to sign a contract with the Saudi club for £173M per year. The contract period will be two and a half years. In other words, he will play in the Saudi Arabian league until he is 40 years old.

Meanwhile, people close to Ronaldo claim that such a deal is unlikely. Instead, the former Juventus and Real star now keep his full focus on the World Cup. However, Ronaldo also received offers from Saudi Arabia this summer. However, he declined the direct service offer. This time, however, he may change his mind as his future in Europe is somewhat “dark”.

Al-Nasr is the most successful club in Saudi Arabia. They became champions of the best league in the country, a record nine times. The club also took home the championship for the last season in 2019. Although they did not win the league in 2020 and 2021, they won the Saudi Arabian Super Cup title. Al-Nasr even played in the Club World Cup in the 1999-2000 season. They played Real Madrid in the group stage. The Spanish giants won the match 3-1.
